This is something that has been on my mind lately… so I thought I would share.
Why won’t you do those things that you know you need to do in order to succeed? What is holding you back?
If you don’t HAVE a goal, that’s one thing. If that’s the case then get one and come back later ;-p
BUT sometimes… we just don’t move forward. Apparently it’s pretty common. No so much for me (or if I did I wasn’t aware of it, I can lie to myself pretty well). But discussing with friends this week this seems to happen all the time to people in all ranks of life and success.
SO WHY?
We can only control so much. But then there are those moments we can control. You’re sitting there wasting time on Facebook or Twitter or surfing funny cat videos or babies head banging or whatnot (guilty) or reading this blog (BUSTED!). Is what we’re doing actually moving us toward our goal? If not, why not stop doing it… and do something that will?
Assuming your GOAL is solid and FROM THE HEART then… I wonder if the reason is people are afraid of success?
WHY?
My thoughts so far are:
- People fear change.
- People feel insecure.
I’m curious your thoughts… so post in the comments below… are you afraid of success?
